BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting regarding proposed safety improvements on East Main Street/Route 127 in the vicinity of Evers Street in Bridgeport.The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the Bridgeport City Hall, City Council Chambers, 45 Lyon Terrace. A design presentation will begin at 7 p.m. with a question and answer period immediately following. Head Of Trumbull Police Commission Under Investigation
TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The head of the Trumbull Police Commission is being investigated after accusations he tried to shake down a local supermarket cashier for $2,600, according to the Connecticut Post. Roger McGovern, 75, is accused of badgering the 33-year-old cashier in an attempt to recover the cost to repair a dent in his Cadillac Escalade he blames on the cashier, according to the Connecticut Post. GREENWICH, Conn. -- Connecticut Democrat U.S. Rep.
