2 ATM Robberies In Central PA: Police
Two separate robberies at ATMs were announced by police on Tuesday, May 7. The first robbery happened in York and the second occurred in Lancaster, it remains unclear if these incidents, which happened 3 days apart, are connected in any way. The York Robbery began when a man offered another man a ride home in the area of the 100 block of Carlisle Street, Hanover Borough between 1 and 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, according to a release by area police. A man accused of raping a girl in Pennsylvania who was arrested in Texas has finally been extradited for his trial, police announced on Monday, May 6. Carlos Martinez-Franco was arrested on a warrant in Conroe, TX on March 4, 2024, according to the police release. The charge stems from an alleged assault in the 200 block of East Liberty Street/US Route 11 in Chambersburg on July 12, 2016, court records show. A 31-year-old asphalt tank truck driver died in a fiery crash into multiple objects along the side of the road on Sunday morning, the Pennsylvania State Police explained. Authorities have identified the man found dead in Lehigh Township over the weekend. Raghu Kodali, 61, of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, was discovered in a wooded area near the Appalachian Trail, the Northampton County Coroner's Office said. Authorities continue to investigate the 1975 disappearance of Wendy Eaton. Eaton was last seen on May 17 of that year near the intersection of Indian Lane and Media Station Road in Media, according to state police.
