Police have issued an arrest warrant for another suspect in the assault-robbery of an off-duty Philadelphia officer. Stroudsburg Man Sentenced For 2023 Overdose Death: DA
A Stroudsburg man will spend up to a decade in prison for an overdose death last year, a Monroe County Court has ruled. Edwin Burgos, 39, was sentenced to 4 to 10 years plus 12 years probation, said the Monroe County District Attorney's Office on Tuesday. Prosecutors said Steven Nitschke was found dead from a fentanyl overdose in his Stroud Township apartment on March 18, 2023. A victim was shot at while fleeing the scene of a carjacking in Philadelphia last Tuesday, May 7, according to city police. Authorities said it happened around 5:15 a.m. on the 1300 block of Lindley Avenue. The carjacker got out of a Ford Taurus and entered the victim's Ford Fusion, police said. State Vehicle Involved In I-78 Crash In Berks County, PA State Police Say
A crash truck was struck from behind on Interstate 78 on Monday afternoon, May 13, according to state police. Troopers said it happened around 2 p.m. near the Stump Road underpass in Maxatawny Township. The crash truck was stopped in the right westbound lane with its emergency lights flashing. Tyemeshia Miller, 19, of Harrisburg was found shot in the back in the area of North 4th and Woodbine streets around 5:45 p.m. on May 13, according to the Bureau's release and the Dauphin County Coroner's Office.
