Body Pulled From Charles River ID'd As Newton Man A man whose body was pulled from the Charles River has been identified as a Middlesex County resident. Massachusetts State Police patrols responded to the Boston side of the Charles River, a short distance east of the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge after a dog walker observed the body close to the river bank at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19. The State Police Marine Unit moved the victim’s body onto the shoreline from the water. Boston EMS personnel determined he was dead. FDA Recalls Oysters After Norovirus Outbreak The US Food and Drug Administration has recalled oysters grown and harvested in Connecticut following an outbreak of norovirus. In a notice on Thursday, March 14, the FDA said the outbreak was caused by oysters sold by Norwalk-based Norm Bloom and Son harvested in February. Although the FDA did not give many how many people were sickened, they did reveal the contaminated batch was associated with an outbreak in Minnesota.
