Freezing Rain May Cause Icy Conditions In Armonk

Spotty light freezing rain and light freezing drizzle will occur Monday evening as temperatures across the area drop to near freezing, the National Weather Service warns.

Since the overnight low Monday into Tuesday will be right around the freezing mark, it remains uncertain if overnight precipitation could be in the form of freezing rain with the possibility of ice.

Temperatures will gradually warm up Tuesday, which should be a rainy day with a high temperature around 40 degrees.

Motorists out on area roadways are advised to exercise caution, especially on bridges and overpasses. Some walkways may also become hazardous due to the icy conditions.

The rain will clear by Wednesday, but it will remain mostly cloudy, with a high in the mid 40s.
