Norwalk Police: Bridgeport Car Theft Suspect Tried To Escape Officers NORWALK, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man suspected of stealing a car in Middletown was tackled by a police officer in Norwalk as he tried to escape arrest, according to police. At around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer on patrol in Norwalk saw a Nissan Maxima traveling on Water Street with significant front-end damage. TV Star Steve Wilkos Injured In Car Crash In Area Television personality Steve Wilkos was taken to the hospital after being involved in a car accident in Darien this week, according to police. Darien Police said that at around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, an officer on patrol discovered a one-car accident on West Avenue in the area of Turnabout Lane. The officer saw a car lying on its passenger side at the edge of the eastbound lane, which appeared to have sustained heavy damage, police said. Darien Woman Charged With Kicking Police Officer In New Canaan NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A Darien woman was charged with kicking a police officer during an arrest in New Canaan last week, according to police. Norwalk Officer Injured When Stolen Truck Slams Into Cruiser During Chase NORWALK, Conn. -- Someone who stole a pickup truck in Norwalk early Tuesday morning intentionally backed into one cruiser and drove directly at another before crashing and running away, according to police. At around 3 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a home on Assisi Way for a report of a stolen vehicle. Norwalk Teens Charged With Trying To Break Into Home Over Drug Debt NORWALK, Conn. -- A group of Norwalk teens were arrested on burglary and gun charges after police said they tried to break into a home over a drug debt. Darien Man Charged With Selling Drugs In Stamford A 34-year-old Darien man was arrested Friday and charged with selling drugs in Stamford, according to police. Frank Green Jr. sold cocaine to undercover officers in Stamford on three occasions, according to police. He was charged Friday with three counts of sale of narcotics, and three counts of conspiracy to sale of narcotics, police said. During a search and seizure warrant at Green's home, police seized $2,667 in cash and his 2006 Dodge Challenger, police said. Green's bond was set at $150,000 and he was given a court date of Jan. 31.
