Westchester Native, Former Gov. Pataki Endorses Marco Rubio For President

Peekskill native and Garrison resident George Pataki, who ended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination late last month, has made an endorsement in the race.

In a Daily Voice exclusive interview at the Manhattan offices of Chadbourne & Park LLP last week, Pataki sat down in with Daily Voice CEO and Founder Carll Tucker, for a conversation on the current state of American politics.

"I took a look at all candidates, and in my mind, there's one person who stands out, and that's Sen. Marco Rubio," Pataki said in an interview on Fox News. "We need someone who is going to bring Americans together. Sen. Rubio has the leadership, he has the vision, he has the intelligence from Congress to understand what it takes to defend us against radical Islam. I'm proud to endorse Sen. Rubio.

Pataki, the former three-term New York governor, had entered the race on a piping hot day in New Hampshire in May, evoking memories o of his upset of three-term incumbent Mario Cuomo in 1994.

Pataki made news during the campaign when he became the only candidate in a crowded Republican field to say he would not support Trump if he's the party's nominee.
