Latimer announced four appointments to his administration, including retiring County Legislator Ken Jenkins (D-Yonkers) as Deputy County Executive. Latimer defeated Jenkins in the Democratic primary in September.

Jenkins, who was first elected to the legislator in 2007, served as chairman from 2010-2014.

“I consider Ken Jenkins to be an outstanding elected official and community leader," Latimer said. "He has shown, time and again, that moving Westchester forward is at the heart of his actions and efforts. He will bring practical experience to the team as we tackle the issues facing Westchester, together.”

Other appointments include Joan McDonald as Director of Operations, former County Legislator John Nonna as County Attorney and Catherine Cioffi as Director of Communications.
