ARMONK, N.Y. -- A woman told North Castle police recently that she had been followed, and her picture taken, at a grocery store in White Plains.

Another patron at the Stop & Shop on North Broadway called police on Saturday, July 2, to report a possible dispute between two customers there.

When an officer contacted the store manager, he put a woman on the line.

She told police that another woman had followed her and her son around the store, taking pictures of them with her cell phone.

The woman told police that she asked her to delete the photos and she refused, but left the premises, driving off in a car with Connecticut license plates.

Police asked the complainant if she wanted to file a formal complaint, and she told them she would think about it and come to police headquarters later.

No further details were available, police said.

Meanwhile, police were summoned Friday, July 1, to investigate the report of a suspicious person in the area of Leisure Farm Drive in Armonk.

The caller reported seeing a disheveled man emerging from a wooded area.

The man – described as white and in his 50s – had been seen hanging around for several weeks.

The caller was worried that he was either homeless, or otherwise in need of assistance, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the scene, but did not find the man.
