Greenburgh Park Named After Frank Jazzo, 82

Frank Jazzo, 82, of White Plains, a longtime member of the Greenburgh Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and a very dedicated own Historian passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4.

According to Supervisor Paul Feiner, "Frank was a very dedicated man who did much for our town. He was passionate about providing recreation opportunities to our youth and a very dedicated Town Historian, who accomplished a lot. He worked for the community days, nights and weekends. And- made our town a much better place."

At the next Town Board meeting on Wednesday Feb. 28, "we will have a moment of silence in honor and in memory of Frank and reflect on Frank's significant contributions to our community," Feiner said on Wednesday.

"Frank was honored by the Greenburgh Town Board for his years of service when we named the lower ball field at East Rumbrook Park the Frank Jazzo Field. We will never forget Frank and will always appreciate his service and friendship," Feiner said.

The ball field was named after Mr. Jazzo in June 2014.

Mr. Jazzo was born on June 6, 1935, in New York City.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at Ballard Durand, Elmsford Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10 a.m. on Friday Feb. 9 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
