Yonkers resident Richard Silva was sentenced to 10 years probation with sex offender conditions, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced on Tuesday.

Silva pleaded guilty to one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child in March. He is scheduled to have his Sex Offender Registry Act hearing on Dec. 4, when he will receive his designation.

According to Scarpino, the District Attorney’s Office received information that a computer at Silva’s home may have the child porn on it last year, leading to the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

Scarpino said that on Sept. 11, the warrant was executed at his Yonkers home, where a computer was seized. Forensics performed on that computer revealed more than 100 images and videos of children engaging in sexual acts. Silva was arrested late last year on Sept. 19, and initially pleaded not guilty to the charge in court.
