Armonk Chef Heads New Danbury Eatery

DANBURY, Conn. -- More than 300 people gave a warm welcome to a new hotel and restaurant in a grand opening last week on Danbury's West Side.

Terra Ristorante and Hotel Zero Degrees, located at 15 Milestone Road, hosted guests from Danbury, Bethel, Brookfield, Ridgefield and communities in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties in New York. Special guests included: Mayor Mark Boughton of Danbury and Stephen Bull, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Danbury Chamber. 

“We are very grateful for the local support and enthusiasm and look forward to supporting the local community,” said Ramze Zakka, owner of Terra restaurant and the Z Hospitality Group. 

Terra Ristorante served tastings of their diverse northern Italian restaurant and catering menus such as wood burning oven pizza, wild shrimp cocktail, baby vegetable crudité with chick pea hummus, potato and white truffle potato croquettes, beef empanadas with tomato and cilantro salsa, Kobe beef cheese burgers, baby lamb chops and imported cheese and fruit platters.

Tours were provided throughout the night by the Hotel Zero Degrees team to view the variety of new venues to host corporate meetings and special events. Guests visited the ballroom, lobby, restaurant and outdoor patio. 

Terra has been serving the lower Fairfield County community for the last 25 years and is a go to for exquisite hospitality, consistency and quality food. Hotel Zero Degrees has been voted the No. 1 boutique hotel year over year in lower Fairfield County. 

“We are so excited to now be open to the public and look forward to becoming the central gathering place for all corporate, social and cultural functions in the Greater Danbury community for many years to come,” said Randy Salvatore, Chief Executive Officer of RMS Companies and developer of Hotel Zero Degrees.

Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury is located off of Exit 2 of Interstate 84 and features 114 guest rooms, including 27 extended stay suites in a relaxing natural setting. The hotel has over 3,500 square feet of indoor event space including a 2,600 square foot ballroom as well as an expansive outdoor patio for casual dining or larger functions.

Terra is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and brunch on Sundays. The restaurant offers happy hour specials daily and “Wine Appreciation Tuesday’s” where wine is discounted at 50 percent.
