Foodies will be in heaven over the next two weeks as the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week kicks offs on Tuesday, Nov. 1 with more than 200 restaurants taking part in the semi-annual event.

Gastropubs, Italian, French, Japanese, traditional America, are just a few of the choices food lovers will have a chance to sample during the event that runs through Nov. 13.

Celebrating its 10th year, the event in 2015 attracted more than one million diners and generated some $20 million in sales.

Here's how it works -- All restaurants involved in the event will offer three-course dinners for $29.95; with some offering lunches for $20.95. The prices do not include beverage, tax and tip.

One of the best things about the tour of restaurants is that it offers diners a chance to sample foods from local farms and craft breweries in addition to local wineries.

It also showcases the plethora of creative and unique chefs the area has to offer and a price that most can afford.

It's easy to take part, no tickets or coupons are required. All diners have to do is call for a reservations or reserve through Open Table . Walk-ins might not be able to get a table if the restaurant is booked.
