BEDFORD CORNERS, N.Y. -- What are the different ways that values can be taught? Which are most effective? What makes a value “Jewish”? What is the latest thinking about the teaching of values? If you are interested in the answers to these questions, attend a presentation at Temple Shaaray Tefila on May 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Focusing on both theoretical and practical examples, Temple Executive Director and doctoral candidate Barbara Merson will present new perspectives on this important subject.
“Values are like the air we breathe – always present but not often clearly visible,” states Barbara Merson. “It is my hope that this presentation will stimulate everyone’s thinking about how we teach values in many different kinds of educational settings.”
