On Thursday, July 19, the Songwriting & Composition and Vocal Arts Camps will perform respectively at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Sommer Center; the Rock Band Camp will perform at 8 p.m. in the Schoenfeld Campus Center.

Concordia College is located at 171 White Plains Road in Bronxville. All concerts are free and open to the public.

While most Suzuki Strings campers were new to their instruments when camp began, they have already learned several songs and began their technical studies in the four weeks of camp.

The Chamber Music camp hit the ground running to learn over ten new pieces in only a few weeks.

Eighteen instrumentalists and vocalists comprise the camp, and they will be performing ensembles from Baroque pieces to a medley from Kiki’s Delivery Service to classic musical theatre repertoire.

The Songwriting and Composition campers have been hard at work writing their own original pieces to be premiered at the Summer Music Festival.

Students in this camp have perfected their pieces using music software in the Conservatory’s Morato Music Technology Lab.

Vocal Arts camp will be performing the full staged performance of the songs of musical theatre songwriting duo of Lerner and Loewe. Campers have not only learned the songs, but they have fully staged and choreographed them.

Rock Band camp includes two bands, The Swamp and Beyond Gravity, with pop hits such as "Wild Thing" and "Twist and Shout."
