The storm system that brought between 2 and 4 inches of snowfall accumulation to parts of the area, particularly areas farther east, is winding down.
But a second round of snow will be coming Tuesday morning, according to The National Weather Service.
A slight chance of snow between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday will be followed by a chance of light snow after 10 p.m. Little accumulation is expected.
Light snow will be likely Tuesday, mainly after 7 a.m. New snow accumulation of around an inch is possible during the day.
Another 1-2 inches of accumulation is possible at night, especially in areas farther south.
Tuesday's high temperature will hover around the freezing mark under cloudy skies.
More intermittent, on-and-off snow is likely Wednesday and also possible on Thursday.
