A downpour hit Westchester County on Thursday and caused closures on several highways due to flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 3:15 p.m. along with a hazardous weather outlook through late Thursday night.

The Saw Mill River Parkway is closed in both directions between exits 26 and 27 in Mount Pleasant, according to Melissa Slater of the New York State Department of Transportation. Route 9 northbound and southbound is closed at Rockledge Avenue in Ossining.

State Highway 141 at Commerce Street in Mount Pleasant is also closed. A downed tree on Route 9 southbound at Route 9A in Ossining forced a closure, but Slater said that officials have since moved the tree and the road reopened.

The National Weather Service reports that thunderstorms could continue until as late as Saturday night.
