Temperatures remained warm once again throughout the area Thursday, but thickening clouds in the afternoon have signaled the likelihood of showers and rain in the evening through the overnight hours.
Periods of rain are expected Thursday evening, with the system winding down by daybreak.
There's a slight chance of showers early Friday, followed by mostly cloudy skies that will gradually become sunny, with a high near 60 degrees.
Overnight clearing is expected Friday night with temperatures plunging to nearly freezing, around 33 degrees, and calm winds.
Saturday will be a sunny and comfortably with a high in the mid 50s.
Clouds will hover overnight Saturday with the air cooling down to between 40 and 42 degrees.
Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 60 degrees, then rain will return during the overnight hours into Monday morning.
