But a blast of Arctic air move into the area at the end of the week, bringing a preview of winter just days after local residents set their clocks back for the annual fall tradition of the end of Daylight Saving Time, according to AccuWeatjer.com.
"Snow showers will return to the interior and it is even possible for a few snowflakes to streak east to the I-95 corridor," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.
After a partly sunny day Friday, with the high temperature in the low 50s, the overnight low will be as low as the upper 20s in some Hudson Valley spots.
Any snowflakes overnight will turn to showers during the day as the high temperature climbs past the 40-degree mark. The overnight low Saturday into Sunday could plummet to the 20s.
