The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an air quality index value of 100 for ozone, the National Weather Service said.

The higher the AQI value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department ofHealth recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects.

Sunday will be a mostly sunny day with a high temperature in the 86-88 degree range. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

Monday will be mostly sunny with a high in the mid-80s and afternoon thunderstorms again possible.

The updated outlook for Tuesday, Independence Day, calls for mostly sunny skies and a high around 82. There is no chance for storms on Tuesday at this time.

Wednesday will be mainly sunny with a high in the low-80s.
