A downed tree and wires has resulted in the closure of a stretch of Whippoorwill Road at the intersection of King Street (Route 120) late Tuesday afternoon, North Castle Police said.
Con Edison is on location with its tree crew working to resolve the situation. The North Castle Police Department is on location assisting with traffic control. Barricades and a road closure sign are in place on the Whippoorwill Road side of the incident.
There are no driveways that are blocked, police said.
Route 120 is fully open.
Motorists should use alternate routes.
Con Edison does not have an estimate at this time as to when the roadway will be reopened.
