ID Released For Pilot Killed After Plane Bound For Westchester Airport Crashes
A man killed when a small plane headed for Westchester County Airport crashed into a home in Maryland has been identified.
Gordon Allen, 61, of Bronx, died about 3:10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, when the Grumman American AA-5A plane he was piloting crashed in College Park, located in Prince George's County, said the Maryland State Police.
According to a preliminary investigation, the plane had departed the College Park Airport just minutes prior to crashing.

World War Ii-era Aircraft Tour Cancels Westchester County Airport Appearance After Fatal Crash
The Wings of Freedom tour, scheduled to appear in Westchester, has been canceled following the crash of one its planes in Connecticut, killing seven and injuring seven others.
Scheduled to appear Thursday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Westchester County Airport, the Collings Foundation, which sponsored the tour, said it is on a "safety standdown" and will not hold the event.
The spokesman also said the foundation has canceled an appearance in Morristown, New Jersey, scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, to Thursday, Oct. 10.

New Westchester County Airport Plan Unveiled By Latimer
County Executive George Latimer announced new initiatives on Monday, Aug. 13 to reduce noise, water pollution and air emissions at Westchester County Airport.

Contract Reportedly Signed For David Rockefeller $22M Westchester Estate
The late David Rockefeller’s 75-acre Pocatino Hills estate in Mount Pleasant is reportedly in contract after it was put on the market for $22 million last fall.
