North Castle Rec Presents Summer Music, Camps

ARMONK, N.Y. – The North Castle Recreation Department is enjoying the remainder of the summer camp season, looking forward to the upcoming fall calendar filled with new programs and events and offering special summer evening entertainment in August.

“Thanks to the generosity of town resident Sam Morell and the Small Town Theatre, we are pleased to offer free entertainment in Wampus Brook Park, held on several evenings during the summer,” said Superintendent of Recreation Susan Snyder. “Come with a lawn chair or a blanket and a picnic basket. We are looking for volunteers to assist at the events, please contact me if you can help.” Before the leaves turn, young people may still participate in several mini camps through August, including, Play-Well Engineering, Aviation By Hobby Quest. Magic By Hobby Quest and Sports Camps.

Play-Well and Aviation camps will run August 15-19 at the Hergenhan Rec Center and are open to grade school age children. Fees range from $175 to $200 for the respective camps for town residents.

Sports Camps are running August 15-19 at Lombardi Park for grade school age children at $240 for the week-long sessions.

The Magic By Hobby Quest Camp runs August 22-26 at the Hergenhan Center for children kindergarten through grade 5at $200 per child for town residents.

The North Castle Recreation Department’s Fall Brochure is now available on the town's website. Mail-in registration for fall programs begins Monday, August 29 and walk-in registration begins Tuesday, September 6.

North White Plains residents may register now for Fall Kidz Club afterschool program held at the North Castle Community Center. There are also fitness programs for adults.

Resident seniors over age 60 may register for any adult programs at a 20 percent discount off the adult price. Also, seniors may join our trip to Empire Casino planned for Thursday, August 25 for only $10.
