Brynwood’s director of operations, Josh Lowney, received the recognition last week from club’s management company, Troon Golf.

“Josh is the embodiment of Troon’s high standard of leadership and excellence in the field,” said Rob DeMore, Vice President of Operations at Troon. “We are proud to have him helping us elevate the member experience at Brynwood.”

Troon, a premier global management company of world-class golf courses, golf clubs and resorts, annually recognizes the “Best of the Best” facilities and individuals for their outstanding performance and dedication.

Lowney, a resident of Ridgefield, Conn., earned the distinction for his dedicated commitment to the club members and his influential role in elevating the quality of the golf experience at Brynwood in 2012.

A member of Troon since 2005, Lowney came to Brynwood in 2010. Each of the three Troon golf shops he managed was ranked one of the top 100 golf shops in the country.

Lowney was previously the director of golf at The Crosby in Rancho Santa Fe, California, and opened the Lake of Isles in Connecticut in 2005, where he was the head of golf professional. In 2011, he was named one of the top three golf professionals within Troon’s worldwide network.

Lowney’s success as a golf pro should not come as a surprise.

After all, he is a PGA member and was elected to the exclusive PGA Membership program—which represents a select group of PGA professionals with expertise in the industry—in 2009.

Brynwood Golf & Country Club, located at 568 Bedford Road, features an 18-hole golf course, 9 Har-Tru tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool and a 65,000 square-foot clubhouse.
