Yorktown Students Spark Smiles At Holiday Electric Lights Parade

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Members of the Yorktown High School band bought holiday cheer to shoppers and paradegoers this past weekend, school officials said.

Using their voices, instruments, and battery-operated lights, the merry band of singers and musicians delighted onlookers with their caroling and playing.

It was all done to promote the town’s annual Holiday Electric Lights Parade, which is co-sponsored by the Yorktown and Mohegan Lake fire companies.

Festivities on Saturday, Dec. 5, began on Front Street downtown and wrapped up with a holiday tree lighting at the Jack DeVito Memorial Field.
