At Mohansic Elementary School, students made paper crowns that were decorated with the number 100. And the students spent weeks getting a perspective on the concept of 100. They rolled in gym class 100 times, learned to count by tens and colored in this first number with three digits.

Other students focused on counting by tens by collecting the right amount of items from cheerios to marshmallows. They shook their arms ten times to dance music and created artistic grids of tens.

At Brookside Elementary School, students built towers of 100 plastic cups, worked on projects consisting of ten tasks and wrote about what they might think about when they are 100 years young.
