The Middle Patent Road home is an odd creation. Theodore and Marsha Nierenberg had their company’s chief designer, Jens Quistgaard, who was known for his kitchenware, create it. What he came up with is something like tree house meets pagoda meets Colorado western. Realtor.com says it "bears a resemblance to scales on a dragon's back.”
