The Upper Saddle River Recreation Commission is again sponsoring this event. Individuals, families and organizations are welcome to join in and help keep the borough beautiful.

Folks can check in at Lions Park any time between 8 a.m. and noon. You can either be assigned an area in town to clean up, or you can choose one. These include Lions Park, Hess Park and school grounds.

Gloves and trash bags will be provided -- as well as coffee, juice and doughnuts. Participants can spend as much time as they're able. Children must be supervised by an adult.

"Help make this year's Clean Up Day the best ever," the borough noted in a Facebook post. Scouts, sports teams and other youth groups are also welcome.
