Copper Tubing Stolen At Redding Roadwork Site

REDDING, Conn. — The theft of copper tubing from a Georgetown construction site was reported to Redding police. Guerrera Construction reported that 150 feet of 1-inch copper tubing, worth $1,100, and 60 feet of half-inch copper water tubing, worth $254, was stolen from the work site at North Main Street and Portland Avenue on Aug. 5.

Guerrera Construction is working on a project that will provide new sidewalks, street lights and wider roads.

• Karyn Czarnecki, 40, from Wilton, was injured in a car accident on Redding Road on Aug. 2. Czarnecki was driving north and her car was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by John Sheehan, 50, from Norwalk. Czarnecki sustained minor injuries and was taken to Norwalk Hospital. Sheehan was ticketed for following too close.
