Monday, June 4

High School Athletic Awards: 7 p.m. The annual athletic awards ceremony will take place at North Salem High School at 230 June Road.

Understanding Memory: 6 p.m. Learn about the differences between Alzheimer’s Disease and age-associated memory impairment. Learn the ten warning signs of Alzheimer’s, along with guidance on how to obtain diagnosis and what treatments are currently available. The event is presented by Patricia Gaston of the Alzheimer’s Association. Register online or call (914) 232-5717. The Somers Library is located at 82 Primrose Street, Somers.

Tuesday, June 5

Instrumental Concert: 7 p.m. Students at Pequenakonck Elementary School will present an instrumental concert in the PQ gym. The school is located at 173 June Road, North Salem.

Lecture at Lasdon: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Learn about the new field of Agro-Forestry and its applications, including information about growing agricultural products within your own woodlot. This is the fourth in a five-part lecture series, which concludes on July 24 with a talk on Heaths & Heathers. The fee is $20 and includes refreshments and handouts. Pre-registration is required. Booster Club Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The North Salem Booster Club will meet in the Home Economics Room at North Salem High School, 230 June Road.

Wednesday, June 6

Writers’ Workshop: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Professionals and hopefuls will discuss their work under the guidance of Pam Pooley. Anyone interested in writing is invited to drop in. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Board of Education Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The North Salem Board of Education will meet in the library of the Middle/High School, 230 June Road, North Salem.

Spring Concert: 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. Students of North Salem High School will present an end-of-year instrumental concert in the auditorium. North Salem High School is located at 230 June Road, North Salem. 

Thursday, June 7

Senior OPTIONS Presentation: 7 p.m. OPTIONS - Opportunity for Professional Training In and Out of North Salem - is a full-year, credit-bearing elective course for seniors geared to assisting in the transition from school to career. Senior projects will be presented to a panel of teachers and community members, as well as an audience of family, friends and peers. The event takes place at North Salem High School, 230 June Road.

Shakespeare at the Schoolhouse: 8 p.m. The season’s final dramatic presentation at the Schoolhouse, “Twelfth Night,” will run until June 10. Performances are on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 3 p.m. Tickets are $33 for Thursdays and Fridays, $35 for Saturdays and Sundays.
