NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. Kathleen Patsy Azar of New Rochelle died May 2. She was 79.
Born June 1, 1932, Azar was a retired English teacher at John Adams High School in Queens, N.Y. An admirer of the arts, she was an artist and opera singer.
Azar was involved in church visitation to the retired brothers on Montgomery Circle and was married to the late Larry Azar, an author and Iona College professor.
Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. A short service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
