Public Can Comment On Pay Raises For Cuomo, Lawmakers

Two of three planned public hearings have been scheduled by the newly formed New York state panel looking into whether Gov. Andrew Cuomo, lawmakers and other state officials should be paid more money, according to a lohud.com report.

The new state Commission on Legislative, Judicial and Executive Compensation met Monday to start reviewing salaries and gathering information. Public hearings are planned for Thursday, March 10, in New York City and Wednesday, March 23, in Albany, says lohud.com.

The last hearing is likely to be held at the end of April, either in Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse. The panel is expected to make any recommendations in November, lohud.com reports.
