Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton, will be making two campaign stops in the Hudson Valley on Sunday leading into Tuesday's New York primary.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has added a special visit before his 3 p.m. rally Sunday at the the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie ahead of Tuesday's New York primary.
Trump will be making a quick visit at his alma mater, the New York Military Academy in Cornwall, before heading to the rally in Dutchess County, a local supporter who was invited to meet him told Daily Voice.
Cornwall GOP Chairwoman Jeanne LaBarge arranged the meeting, the supporter said.
Chelsea Clinton's first appearance, at a "Get Out the Vote" event at the Civil Service Employee Union's Office at 21 Davis Avenue in Poughkeepsie, will be just hours ahead of Republican frontrunner Donald Trump's 3 p.m. rally at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, also in Poughkeepsie.
Chelsea Clinton's parents, Bill and Hillary Clinton, have lived in Chappaqua since 1999.
Trump, who has numerous business ties to the area is the second presidential candidate to come to Poughkeepsie after Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders held a rally at Marist College on April 12.
Trump, who owns an estate in Bedford, also owns Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in Stormville and Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor. The Trump name also adorns Trump Tower at City Center in White Plains, Trump Plaza in New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences in Yorktown and the Donald J. Trump State Park on the Westchester/Putnam border.
