A public hearing hosted by the Steering Committee will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Hergenhan Recreation Center and the committee will hold another meeting on Nov. 9. The town board said it hopes to hold its own public hearings in January.
The town is also considering asking the state to conduct a study of the Route 22 corridor in North White Plains, which could open itself up for future grant money for improvements, according to The Examiner.
Other highlights of the plan include maintaining the Nursery Business zone at the Mariani Gardens site, but allowing multifamily housing and taking a neutral approach to the View, a proposed project for empty nesters and young professionals, according to The Examiner.
