CONGERS, NY – A White Plains woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly striking a Rockland County sheriff during a DWI stop along Route 9W N/B on the early morning of Oct. 10.
Melissa Espinoza, 28, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a second DWI, resisting arrest, second-degree assault of a police officer and unlawful possession of marijuana.
A sheriff noticed that Espinoza's vehicle was driving erratically, and allegedly found her to be intoxicated. She reportedly resisted arrest and injured an officer.
Espinoza was arraigned at Clarkstown Justice Court and remanded to County Jail, subject to $1,500 bail.
