But the proceedings against Christian Walczyk were quickly adjourned when his attorney waived the reading of the charges against him, reported News12.com. He will remain in jail without bail until his next hearing scheduled for Aug. 3.

Walczyk allegedly stabbed Hartsdale resident Daniel Siino, 28, to death when the two men, who had been involved in a road rage incident, stopped along the side of the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant, according to state police.

Siino's passenger called 911 while trying to stop the bleeding and drive him to the hospital. EMS and state troopers subsequently located and rendered aid to Siino before he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Walczyk, who also called 911, was arrested a short time later and charged with one count of manslaughter in the first degree, state police said.
