Vehicle Spinning Erratically On Lawn Among North Castle Police Calls

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- A report of a vehicle doing "doughnuts" and damaging a lawn was among the calls North Castle police responded to this past week.

Other reports by police include: 

  • A sign was removed from the front lawn of 6 Wampus Ave., a patron reported on Friday, Nov. 14. 
  • An injured deer was reported on the roadway at the Bronx River Parkway access road on Saturday, Nov. 15.
  • Complainant reports that upon his arrival back to his residence at the stated location he observed a vehicle described as a white Subaru WRX driving on his lawn doing "doughnuts" and damaging his property on Saturday, Nov. 15. He secured the license plate of the vehicle, New York registration GSL8932. He confronted the operator and occupants of the vehicle who he reports refused to identify themselves and fled the scene on Whippoorwill Road. Vehicle occupants were reported to be three white males approximately 16 or 17 years old. Officers responded.
  • Complainant reports that an unknown female had rung his gate bell at 8 Ridgeview Circle, and when he went to speak with her, she provided her name, stating that she was at a party in the area and then ran away on Sunday, Nov. 16. Complainant was concerned as she was only wearing a tank top in the cold weather. Officers responded to check the area. The female was located at her residence at a later time and checked OK.
  • Complainant reports excessive noise coming from an apartment at 20 Whippoorwill Road E. on Sunday, Nov. 16. Complainant reports it is continual banging on a wall. Officers responded and spoke to the resident who had been bouncing a tennis ball against a wall and has now ceased that activity. Matters adjusted.
