Traffic Signs Knocked Down On Route 22 Tops North Castle Police Blotter

ARMONK, N.Y. -- A number of traffic signs along Route 22 that were knocked down intentionally on Sunday, Feb. 22 were among calls that New Castle police department responded to in the past few weeks.

Other reports included: 

A police officer reported a suspicious vehicle at Business Park Drive on Friday, Feb. 20. Police responded and went on their way. 

A police officer issued a parking summons to an uncooperative patron who refused to physically take the summons at 670 North Broadway on Friday, Feb. 20.  The summons was affixed to operator's windshield and operator refused to remove it prior to leaving the scene.

A caller reported seeing footprints in the back of her house that were not there a few days ago on Saturday, Feb. 21. Party was not sure if they were from an animal or a delivery person. An officer responded and reported that the footprints were made by an oil delivery person and are not suspicious.

A caller reported that she is attempting to locate her 10-year-old yellow Labrador (Tosha) who she cannot locate outside in the yard. The dog was located and returned to the owner on Monday, Feb. 23.

A resident called to report that his 18-year-old daughter's identity had been stolen on Tuesday, Feb. 24. His daughter, who is attending school in Michigan, had her name and personal information used to create fraudulent accounts. The complainant was provided an identity theft packet and informed that his daughter needs file the complaint, not him. It was explained to him that the victim of a crime has to make the complaint in person.

The caller wished to file the report immediately and wanted to do so himself. He was instructed to have her contact authorities in Michigan in order to file the identity theft complaint in a timely fashion, unless she were to travel back home where she could file at this location.
