Threatening Emails Top North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – A Bedford Road resident’s complaint of receiving threatening emails and text messages tops a recent North Castle Police Department blotter.

About 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, a woman called police to report the situation. She does not know who is sending the emails and text messages.

North Castle police also recently handled the following calls:

  • About 8 a.m. Friday, April 3, a caller complained about traffic safety conditions at Windmill Road. The caller reported that cones and barriers placed along the road for work on waterlines had been moved, which obstructed the roadway in several places. An officer cleared the roadway.
  • About 6:15 p.m. Saturday, April 4, a caller reported he had found a dog wandering on SR-128. Officials advised the caller to bring the dog to police headquarters, but the caller soon reported he had located the dog’s owner.
  • About 4:15 p.m. Monday, April 6, a caller reported two teenagers were possibly shooting BB guns in the woods near High Street.
  • About 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, a caller said a suspicious man in his 40s with a 5-year-old child was walking on SR-120. Police did not find anyone walking on the roadway.
  • About 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, someone came to police headquarters to report that a suspicious vehicle frequently parks at Patriot Farms Place for hours after dusk.
