The theft was reported Sunday, Oct. 16, by a woman who told authorities her car had been burglarized the previous day while parked at IBM Town Park, according to police. Authorities are investigating.

Elsewhere in town, a driver reported a dead deer on Byram Ridge Road about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to police, who responded to the scene to find that the animal was “off to the side of the road.”

A second deer incident was reported three days later when a driver struck a deer about 7:10 a.m. No serious injuries were reported.

On Monday, another animal complaint drew police to Creemer Road, where a “hissing animal” was scaring a man’s pets from beneath a deck, according to police.

North Castle’s animal control officer responded to the scene about noon to find that the animal was a raccoon that had run off into surrounding woods, according to police.
