Suspicious People In Garage Tops North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – Suspicious people in a garage topped a recent North Castle Police Department blotter.

On Jan. 9 about 1:26 p.m., a caller reported two suspicious male parties in his garage at 48 Hillandale Ave. The caller said he asked the men to leave and they refused. The two men were gone when police arrived.

North Castle police recently also handled the following calls:

  • On Jan. 9 at 7:50 a.m., a caller reported his son was involved in a car accident. The son had a bloody nose from the airbag, but was otherwise uninjured.
  • On Jan. 9 about 9:45 a.m., New York State Police spoke to a female caller who said she was at 285 or 385 Main St. Police could not determine the nature of an incident taking place at either address, but said it was possibly an accident or altercation.
  • On Jan. 9 about 10:02 p.m., a caller from 24 Windmill Road called to request assistance with having some unwanted parties removed  from her boyfriend's driveway. The unwanted parties were gone when the police arrived.  
  • On Jan. 10 at 10:15 a.m. a caller from 11 Carpenter Way reported her mailbox had been damaged and believed it was due to a car hitting it the day before. When asked how she knew what happened to it, the caller stated that it had happened before and the damage looked similar.
  • On Jan. 10 at 1:42 p.m., a caller reported seeing an erratic driver in a yellow sedan who did four 360-degree spins on Route 22, about a half-mile south of Route 120 S, then drove northbound. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
  • On Jan. 11 at 7:32 p.m., a caller reported hitting a deer with his car on Route 22. The caller said there was no damage to his vehicle, but thought the deer was still in the roadway. The responding officer moved the deceased deer off the roadway upon arrival.  
  • On Jan. 12 about 7:28 p.m., Greenburgh Police Department notified Westchester County Police Department of an erratic driver on the Bronx River Parkway.  Westchester County Police reported that the driver of the vehicle crashed into the woods near Parkway Homes Rd. and continued north on the Bronx River Parkway toward the traffic circle in front of the Kensico Dam. The vehicle was reported as a white Honda with heavy damage to the front bumper.
  • On Jan. 13 about 1:03 p.m., a caller reported a large German Shepherd running in the roadway around Large Tallwoods Rd. The dog was gone when the police showed up.
  • On Jan. 13 around 1:24 p.m., a female caller reported two suspicious white males walking on the left side stairway from Kensico Dam Plaza toward West Lake Drive in Mount Pleasant. The caller stated they were carrying a backpack and smaller bag. The complainant felt this was suspicious because one of the males had a very large black backpack on his back, which stood out to her. Mount Pleasant police were notified.
  • On Jan. 13 about 2:37 p.m., a caller from 1606 Old Orchard St. called 911 to report she believed someone stole her daughter’s phone at the BOCES campus.
