NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- A Nethermont Avenue caller reported to police a peddler was at his residence who does not have a North Castle permit.
The caller said he is holding onto the peddler's license until an officer arrives. A police officer responded and corrected the situation.
In other police reports:
- Police received a call from "Rosie," the desk clerk at LaQuinta Inn, who reported receiving several calls from a party named "Rafael." The man was arguing with her over the phone because he is supposed to be staying in room 204 and she has given that room to someone with a pit bull. The complainant reports her records show room 204 is empty. She was unable to check the room because she is alone so an officer was sent to assist.
- A complainant called to report that people were screaming loudly about 200 fet behind his property. The complainant reports the noise may be coming from a residence off Whippoorwill Road East or one of the side streets off the same. Officers responded and said they were unable to locate the source of the reported noise and the area was quiet at that time.
