NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – North Castle police helped a young woman earlier this week who had threatened to kill herself and her boyfriend, according to the department.

The young woman’s mother and sister contacted police about 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, after the young woman made the threat, according to police.

North Castle officers worked with Metropolitan Transportation Authority police to reach the young woman at the White Plains train station and get her the necessary help, according to North Castle police.

Earlier in the day, officers responded to an Evergreen Row home after a resident heard a “shriek” and an activated home alarm from a neighboring property, according to police.

Officers spoke to the homeowner whose alarm had been triggered, who admitted to being spooked by the alarm.

Elsewhere, officers responded to a town building on Friday, Aug. 12, after receiving reports that two people were trapped in an elevator.

One of the trapped people, who were said to be stuck between the first and second floors of the building, suffered a minor panic attack, but both refused medical attention, according to police.

Authorities said elevator technicians were called in to fix the elevator.
