Stolen License Plates Tops North Castle Police Blotter

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. – Stolen license plates top a recent North Castle Police Department blotter.

About 10:25 a.m., April 27, an employee of a North Broadway business reported that two license plates were missing from a company vehicle. She said she was unsure when the plates had been stolen.

North Castle police also recently handled the following calls:

  • About 2:20 p.m., April 24, someone called 911 to report a physical altercation at Mariani Gardens on Bedford Road. A man had been hit in the face and was bleeding, according to the caller.
  • About 3:40 p.m., April 28, a woman reported seeing two vehicles illegally pass a school bus on Main Street. She provided the license plate numbers and physical descriptions of the cars. The caller said this is not the first time she has seen such activity in the area and asked for extra patrols.
  • About 9:20 p.m., April 28, a woman reported seeing someone walking with a flashlight in the woods behind her Blair Road residence. She spoke with her neighbor, and told police neither of them had given anyone permission to be on the property. A police officer checked the area, and did not find any unusual activity.
  • About 5:05 p.m., April 29, a woman complained that a Custis Avenue resident is putting mothballs on the street in front of his home. The woman said she believes he is doing so to discourage dogs from entering the area, and that the substance will sicken animals. A police officer responded to the situation. No further information was reported in the blotter.
