On Friday, May 19, an officer from the New Castle Police Department reported to police in North Castle that there had been an emergency 911 call at 575 Main Street regarding an incident, at a location he was unfamiliar with.

According to the officer, a male party by the name of “Arawai” was disputing with another individual. He told police in North Castle that he did not know if “Arawai” was an employee or customer, but said he appeared to be an employee because “Arawai” was trying to close the door on the other individual, who was not identified.

Members of the North Castle Police Department were dispatched to the shopping center, where they reported that “matters were adjusted.”

  • On Monday, a man on Whippoorwill Road East reported to police that there was a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting in his driveway for “an extended period of time.” Officers responded to the home and spoke with the driver, who stated he was looking for directions to a nearby Whippoorwill address and he “checked okay” according to police.
