On Friday, May 19, an officer from the New Castle Police Department reported to police in North Castle that there had been an emergency 911 call at 575 Main Street regarding an incident, at a location he was unfamiliar with.
According to the officer, a male party by the name of “Arawai” was disputing with another individual. He told police in North Castle that he did not know if “Arawai” was an employee or customer, but said he appeared to be an employee because “Arawai” was trying to close the door on the other individual, who was not identified.
Members of the North Castle Police Department were dispatched to the shopping center, where they reported that “matters were adjusted.”

- On Saturday, May 20, a Bedford Road resident came to police headquarters to report an ongoing situation with her neighbor. The woman stated that her neighbor had been videotaping and taking pictures of ongoing construction at her home from across the street. Police told the complainant to call police if her neighbor entered her property or she felt threatened. A witness deposition was secured by officers.
- The following day, a man reported to police that he went fishing in the area of Route 22 and Route 120, while his wife slept in the car. When he returned to his car, he told police that his wife was missing, and he was concerned because she had a history of dementia. After a search, the missing woman was tracked down on the IBM campus and was uninjured.
- On Monday, a man on Whippoorwill Road East reported to police that there was a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting in his driveway for “an extended period of time.” Officers responded to the home and spoke with the driver, who stated he was looking for directions to a nearby Whippoorwill address and he “checked okay” according to police.
- Police were dispatched to a Byram Hill Road residence on Tuesday, May 23, where there was an injured coyote reported. Animal Control officers were notified and the animal was recovered.
- Later that day, police canvassed several streets near Apple Orchard Lane after the department received a call stating that “a gold Toyota pickup occupied by several black males had been observed in the area taking pictures of several residences,” though the caller could not provide additional information. Officers searched the area, but the Toyota was gone on arrival.
