Report Of Theft Of Beer Among North Castle Police Calls

ARMONK, N.Y. -- A theft of four cases of beer at Stop and Shop on 670 North Broadway on Friday, Oct. 24, was among the calls North Castle Police responded to this past week.

Other reports by police include: 

  • Suspicious package at 690 N. Broadway -- Party called to report he received a suspicious package at his office on Friday, Oct. 24 . Police reported the package was safe. 
  • General noise complaint at 568 Bedford Road -- A complaint of a person playing bagpipes in the area of the Brynwood Club and further reports that the employees have been using leaf blowers in violation of the noise ordinance on Saturday, Oct. 25.  An officer was dispatched and the matter was settled.
  • Parking complaint at 12 Long Pond Road -- Complaint reported of an unoccupied vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway in a precarious location in the area of 12 Long Pond Rd  on Saturday, Oct. 25. An officer responded to the complaint.
  • Citizen assist at 44 N. Greenwich Road - Caller reported observing a teenage female sitting on the side of the road near location crying on Sunday, Oct. 26. Party is described as having short hair and wearing maroon leggings. An officer responded.
  • Suspicious incident at 5 Hobby Lane - Caller reported that two of her chairs ended up on top of her pool cover sometime during the night on Monday, Oct. 27. She was adamant this was caused by something other than environmental conditions. An officer responded.
  • Dog barking at Whippoorwill Road East - Caller reported a dog barking continuously for a half hour on Whippoorwill Road East somewhere between Wampus Lakes Drive and Whippoorwill Road on Tuesday, Oct. 28. An officer responded and reported speaking with dog owner and complainant, matters resolved at this time.
