  • About 10:20 p.m. on Monday, March 16, officers placed a temporary stop sign at the intersection of SR-128 and Wampus Lakes Drive. The stop sign had been damaged; officers contacted the New York Department of Transportation to make more permanent arrangements, as that agency owns the sign.
  • About 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, a Bates Lane business owner reported that someone owed him $1,300 for work performed on his vehicle and had been avoiding him. Officers advised the man that the situation was a civil matter, but would attempt to contact the person on his behalf.
  • About 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, a woman called and said she was asked to drive by and check on a friend’s Hickory Kingdom Road house because she was away. The woman, who refused to give her name and address, said the lights were on in the house when they were not supposed to be. Officers could not locate the homeowner, and drove by the property. They reported that the premises seemed secure, and labeled the call as a “suspicious incident.”
