ARMONK, N.Y. – A New York City man was allegedly in possession of marijuana, Hydromorphone, Valium, Zanax, Adderall, Ambien and NuvigilAfter when the vehicle he was riding in was stopped for excessive speed on I-684 in North Castle, New York State Police said.
When officers pulled over the vehicle, the "odor of marihuana was detected emanating from within the vehicle," a police report said.
Carlo Caretto, 27, the passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
After being arraigned before the Town of North Castle Justice Court, Caretto was remanded to Westchester County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail.
