Police in Scarsdale were dispatched to a Coralyn Road home shortly before 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 2, where there was a report of a dispute between Scarsdale resident Susan Bodenheim and her mother’s assistant, Yolanda Garagetti.

Upon arrival at the home, officers reported that Bodenheim was yelling at the assistant and threatening her, while Garagatti continued to actively avoid her, “looking fearful.” Police said that the two parties were yelling and screaming at each other from across the home, though the nature of the dispute was not disclosed.

Police said that Bodenheim was “in an excited state, was yelling and had to be asked multiple times by officers to calm down and stay on her side of the home.” It was then determined that Bodenheim verbally threatened and then menaced Garagatti with a kitchen knife.

According to police, Bodenheim pointed the knife at her victim, repeatedly yelling “I will kill you,” and other threatening statements. The knife was recovered at the scene.

Bodenheim was arrested by police at the scene and charged with a misdemeanor count of menacing. From the transport to Scarsdale Police Headquarters, police said that Bodenheim continued to “scream, passively resist and refused to cooperate with many aspects of the arrest processing, including fingerprints and photos."

Officers attempting to book Bodenheim added that throughout arraignment process, she continued to be “loud, disruptive and uncooperative.” Bodenheim is due back in court later this year to answer the charge.
