Officers from the Westchester County Police Department were dispatched to Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, where there was a report of an alleged robbery, involving four people who fought staff members who confronted them about the alleged larceny.

Police said that during the scuffle, two female employees at Rite Aid suffered injuries when they were struck and shoved by the four suspects as they attempted to flee the scene.

The four suspects - later identified as Manhattan resident Ashintile Clinton, 46, Staten Island resident Damon Ellis, 45 and Bronx residents Fatima Mohammed, 34 and Jasmine Luz Ramos, 23 - fled the scene in a black BMW, but county police officers were able to swiftly track them down near Kirby Plaza, and taken into custody.

According to police, the BMW was impounded and several cartons of Rogaine that had been taken from Rite Aid were recovered. Additionally, 11 cell phones, three tablet computers and foil-lined shopping bags commonly used in shoplifting incidents were also seized by officers. The investigation into the origins of the cellphones and tablets is ongoing.

Each of the four suspects was charged with a felony count of second-degree robbery and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor. They are due back in court to answer to the charges.
